FROM PUSH-UPS TO PICKLEBALL

The Courageous Challenge has changed. The mission hasn't.

September 2016 — What began as a local pushup Challenge in Peachtree City to raise awareness and support for the work of suicide intervention has evolved into Stop Suicide USA’s primary annual awareness and fundraising event that is saving thousands of lives and training thousands more to do the same.

2020 — THE CHALLENGE EVOLVES as A New Generation Takes It On. From 2020 to 2026 the Cadets of the University of North Georgia took the Courageous Challenge in a new direction, creating a demanding circuit-style fitness challenge. The format changed. The challenge grew. But the purpose remained the same — bring people together, challenge them to do something difficult, and turn that effort into support for suicide prevention. The Cadets raised more than $150,000 for the mission of Stop Suicide USA.

2027 — A New Chapter Begins — The Courageous Challenge is evolving again. The extreme fitness challenges of the past created an incredible foundation. Now we're opening the challenge to an even broader community through one of America's fastest-growing sports:

PICKLEBALL

This isn't simply another pickleball tournament. It's a journey bringing together players, families, businesses, communities, and supporters from across the southeast around a common purpose.

Teams will compete.
Teams will fundraise.
Communities will rally behind them.

And the journey will lead to one destination.

THE ROAD TO PEACHTREE CITY

The Road to Peachtree City will take the Courageous Challenge beyond a single location. Regional events will give teams across the southeast an opportunity to compete, fundraise, and advance toward the ultimate destination:
